Sunday beer sales in Indiana

Think it’s silly that you can’t buy beer on Sunday in Hoosierland? More than 10,000 Hoosiers have signed Hoosiers for Beverage Choices’ online petition to legislators to request updates to the liquor laws.

I always feel stupid when I try to buy alcohol on Sundays and the cashier has to take it away from me.

I always thought that it was a stupid law. Let’s see, I can go out and drink in a bar then drive home but I can’t drive to a store, buy beer, drive home, then drink.

Oddly enough one of the opponents to this movement are liquor store owners. I guess they like having Sunday off.

Actually, tied in with this proposal is allowing cold beer sales in convenience and grocery stores. Right now only liquor stores sell cold beer because of the silly laws, so they want to keep it that way!
